COMMON CARRIER / LTL FREIGHT CARRIER
SERVICE
Our only interest is exceeding your expectation. We
have made the shipping process as simple as possible. All shipments are F.O.B.
Factory
All orders specified to ship freight “Pre-Paid and Bill”
will be charged an additional handling/billing fee of 20% of the freight bill.
Freight
Via Blanket Wrap Carrier
On orders of 10 carts or more, we recommend shipment
via a blanket wrap carrier. This typically costs significantly more for the
freight, but you will save a similar amount on handling, unwrapping,
de-trashing, fully burdened labor, and the cost of hauling away the
non-reusable pallets. This also virtually eliminates the chance of any freight
damage. If you elect to use a blanket wrap carrier, they must supply the
necessary labor and blankets to wrap the carts and load the truck, Bliss
Industries can supply this labor at additional cost. We also highly recommend
the use of a truck with a lift gate. If you elect to use this service, here is
how the process works.
You determine the blanket wrap carrier to use. Bliss
Industries recommends Legacy Transportation Service an agent for United Van
Lines. They are based in
You state the carrier on your written Purchase order
to Bliss, freight collect. Bliss will schedule the carrier into our facility on
the appropriate date and time.
The carrier wraps blankets around each cart, similar
to moving furniture. The carrier then loads the carts onto their truck and
straps them to the wall of the truck.
The carrier leaves our facility and goes back to their
dock to either add an additional load to fill the trailer or if the carts fill
the trailer then they schedule the trailer to be brought to your plant. When it
arrives they unload it and take the blankets off.
You now have your carts on your plant floor ready to
go. No extra handling, no cardboard to remove, no pallets to pay to have hauled
away, no heavy lifting of the carts off the pallets, no back injuries. This
truly is as good as it gets when it comes to freight handling, and virtually no
chance of freight damage to deal with.
Freight
Via Common Carrier
Every reasonable
effort has been made to protect Bliss products from freight damage during
transit via common carrier, we put the cart on a custom built pallet and
stretch wrap the cart. Then we wrap it in cardboard. Next, we strap it to the
pallet and then stretch wrap it gain. This works very well. However, on rare
occasions, freight damage does occur. Please instruct your receiving department
to carefully check the cardboard wrapping and the wood pallet to be sure these
are intact. In the event of any damage it is mandatory to note it on the
original bill of lading upon delivery. Carriers will not process claims without
proper notation on the bill of lading at the time of delivery. Bliss industries
will help in any way possible with a freight damage claim. However, we will not
assume any financial responsibility once the shipment leaves our shipping dock
as we do not control the carrier and all shipments are F.O.B. Milpitas, CA.
